BREATHLESS
RETURNS
Jonah
Koslen (lead vocals and guitar) has reunited with original band
members Rodney Psyka (percussion and vocals)
and Alan Greene (lead guitar) to resurrect
the quintessential Cleveland band, Breathless. Joined
by Cleveland's hottest rhythm section, Tom Dobeck (drums)
and Bill March (bass and vocals), and
Akron's “king of the keyboards”, Rik Williger
(keyboards, harmonica, vocals), Breathless is
once again a musical force to be reckoned with.
Breathless (a band that Clevelanders rank up there with
such area rock legends as the Raspberries (Eric Carmen), The James
Gang (Joe Walsh) and, of course, The Michael
Stanley Band) released two acclaimed recordings on EMI-America
Records, "Breathless" and "Nobody
Leaves This Song Alive". The recordings contained such songs
as "Walk Right In”, “Dead of the Night”,
“Glued to the Radio”, "Wild Weekend”,
and the national charting hit "Takin' It Back".
A local Northeast Ohio favorite, the band toured nationally and garnered
an international cult following. Razor and Tie Records
released the greatest hits package, “Picture This,”
in 1993.
In concert, Breathless serves up a healthy helping of
all the their best loved songs, not to mention Jonah's Michael
Stanley Band hits "Nothing's Gonna Change My Mind", “Strike
Up The Band", "Waste a Little Time On Me" and “Ladies
Choice”. Add to the mix Jonah Koslen and the Heroes'
favorites like “Face the Morning” and material
from Jonah's current CD, which includes the haunting "No
One Ever Dies of a Broken Heart', and you have a Cleveland classic
rock fan's wish list come true.
